Submit to The Living Archive

A core component of The Frontier will be The Living Archive – a breathing, evolving, inclusive and many-authored collection.

Artists and artist-centered projects/spaces/publications/activities have long played pioneering roles within Kansas City. YOU are invited to become part of The Frontier by submitting your memories and collections related to the evolution of artist-driven activity in our city and our culture to The Living Archive:

How YOU Can Participate:

Share Your Memories
Your MEMORIES are an important part of this endeavor. We are particularly interested in hearing about your contributions, tales of loss, unrealized ideas and potential, longing, myths, and humorous anecdotes. Individuals with relevant personal stories will be considered for recorded interviews and oral histories to be available via podcast. Submit your voice and perspective to the Living Archive using the form below.

Share Your Collections
Do you have a collection of unique archival materials? We are looking for EPHEMERA including print materials, slide carousels, photographs, film, videos, correspondence, podcasts, creative/critical writing, and more. Uncovering materials related to under-recognized and under-documented groups, activities, venues and their efforts, is crucial to this undertaking. Physical and/or digital materials are accepted for the online Living Archive. Please tell us about your collection using the form below and feel free to include links to any digital material.

If you would like to contribute to The Living Archive by PRESERVING and CATALOGING your physical materials, please describe your materials in using the form below. Knowing the content, type, and volume of your materials will help determine how to best assess, select, document, scan, and incorporate them into The Living Archive.
