THE FRONTIER: Opening This Friday at Paragraph + Project Space

Join us for the opening of The Frontier on Friday, April 20, 6-9pm at Paragraph + Project Space, 21-23 East 12th in downtown KC.

The opening will feature:

  • An installation by Katie Ford, photographs and writings by Laura Isaac, and other elements relating to the evolving development of An Inside Job, a multi-disciplinary, collaborative performance piece curated by  Jane Gotch with co-collaborators Laura Frank, Tiffany Sisemore, Abbe Findley, Katie Ford, and Laura Isaac, which will be performed May 18;
  • The first installment of Frontier: Momentum + Trajectory, a research-based project by Jonah Criswell that seeks to articulate the momentum of a selection of Charlotte Street Urban Culture Project Studio Residents via slide shows and online interviews.
  • The launch of The Living Archive, through which we are seeking to collect, preserve, and share a variety of memories and materials relating to the rich history of Kansas City’s arts scene, particularly focusing on artist-run spaces, artist-driven projects, and artist-centered initiatives. The Living Archive is spearheaded by a team including Nicole Mauser (curator), Lyndsey Ogle, Luke Firle, and Dennis Helsel, in collaboration with Charlotte Street Foundation. Come to the opening to contribute your history, stories, and collections!
